PBSC DELIVERED ITS 50,000th BIKE

Montreal, May 29, 2017 – PBSC Urban Solutions, pioneer in public bike-sharing solutions and world leader in the industry, proudly announced that it delivered its 50,000th bike. After nine years, the original Bixi, named Iconic by PBSC, is now available on three continents and more than twenty cities around the world.

As part of the 375th anniversary of Montreal, PBSC decided to hand the 50,000th bike as a gift to BIXI Montréal, where everything began. A unique model was created for the occasion, made of brushed aluminum, showcasing the colours of BIXI and embellished with an illustration from Montreal artist Benoit Tardif.

Almost a Decade of Innovation

With tens of millions of trips made on its thousands of bikes each year, PBSC collects an impressive amount of data that allows the company to always push the boundaries of the bike-sharing industry. Hence, PBSC developed and launched the industry's first family of bikes in 2016, with a lighter model, the FIT, and a pedal-assist electric bike, the BOOST, in addition to the original ICONIC.

Pursuing its 360° approach of urban solutions, PBSC, through its division PBSC Media, now also offers a turnkey service to its customers, including a brand new strategic support service to maximize sponsorships and advertising on city-owned assets. PBSC Media will be able to support cities by offering strategic counselling, or entirely manage their advertisement.
