Curitiba, " the model city of Latin America"

Located in southern Brazil, Curitiba is an important cultural, political, and economic center. Committed to the environment and its citizens' well-being, the city is also known as Cidade Modelo da América Latina ("model city of Latin America"). 

Over the years, numerous ecological initiatives have been implemented in Curitiba, with the objective of reducing the city's greenhouse gas emissions, making it one of the most sustainable cities in Latin America. These initiatives included the introduction of a bike-sharing system.

A bike-sharing system in line with the city's ecological objectives 

With the introduction of a new bike-sharing service, the city offers its 4 million inhabitants a healthy and eco-friendly urban mobility solution, promoting active and sustainable transportation. 

Operated by Tembici - our long-standing partner in Brazil - Curitiba's bike-sharing system is designed to be accessible and adapted to all types of journeys. The city has therefore opted for a mixed fleet of regular FIT bikes and E-FIT electric bikes. 

All equipped with a QR code, the bikes can easily be unlocked through the mobile application. The solution is also composed of smart stations that automatically and quickly recharge the electric fleet.
